Tyler Daniel – Founder

Coach Tyler was a three year varsity starter at Morris Knolls High School. As a junior and senior he was an all conference player at Morris Knolls High School.  Both years he lead the team in points, assists, and steals while leading Knolls to its first state playoff game in over ten years. His senior year he was selected to play in the Morris-Sussex All Star Showcase.

He also played AAU for the New Jersey Panthers in tournaments such as Zoo Crew, Gym Ratz Challenge, Rumble in the Bronx, Hoop Group, and Nationals in Orlando, FL. After qualifying for Nationals as one of the elite AAU teams in New Jersey. The Panthers finished in 10th place out of 150 teams for the Division II title. Competing in tournaments with numerous current NBA Players and professional players overseas.

He played collegiately at New England College. After graduating college, he coached the Girl’s Varsity basketball team at Kushner Academy for two years. Over the years he has trained numerous current and former collegiate players at the following universities: Fairleigh Dickinson, Marist, The College of New Jersey, Ithaca, John Hopkins, and Drew University.

Bobby Grubel – Director of Basketball Operations

Coach Bobby has played competitive basketball with some of the best talents from around the country in his basketball career. He played at Morris Knolls High school at the varsity level. He also played AAU for the invite-only Purple Cobra’s out of New Jersey which gave him the opportunity to play in nationally ranked tournaments. He traveled across the country to compete in tournaments like the D1 Nationals, Gym Ratz (NY), Boo Williams (VA) etc. He began coaching when his basketball career ended due to injuries and has joined Coach Tyler in his program. Coach Bobby passes his love for the game on by coaching and teaching the game along side Coach Tyler. He currently has 4 years of experience coaching teams, camps, clinics and personal workouts. Most recently, this past season he was head coach of our 4th, 5th and 7th grade boys teams (2020). 

Brandon Hurt – Coach

Coach Brandon has played competitive basketball with some of the best talents from around the country in his basketball career. He played at St. Benedict’s Prep before transferring back to his home and graduating from Morris Knolls. Benedict’s top notch recruiting gave him the opportunity to play and learn from coaches and players from across the globe. He also played AAU for KSK out of South Orange as well as The New RENS out of Manhattan NY, an adidas sponsored , powerhouse, nationally ranked team. He Traveled across the country to play in tournaments like the Maryland Invitational (MIT), Gym Ratz (NY), King James invitational (OH), Nationals with the RENS placing 9th. He began coaching when his basketball career ended due to injuries and has joined Coach Tyler in his program. Coach Brandon passes his love for the game on by coaching and teaching the game along side Coach Tyler. 

Jacob Weisz – Manager & Administrative Assistant

Coach Jake was a 2 year varsity starter at Montville High School. He coached 2 years for IYB AAU at the middle school and high school level. He has 5 years of officiating varsity high school basketball and 3 years officiating college basketball and higher. Coach Jake also travels around the U.S to officiate top AAU tournaments. These tournaments include Hoop Group, Adidas Gauntlet, Rumble in the Bronx and Under Armour. Majority of the players who play in these tournaments are division I players. 

Drew Daniel – Coach

Coach Drew has a variety of experience in sports where he has excelled in both basketball and football. He was a 2 year varsity basketball player at Pope John XXIII, facilitating them to a number of state playoff wins. In football, Coach Drew was a 4 year varsity starter receiving numerous accolades as an all conference player. Also, leading Pope John to their first ever state championship game in the Non Public Group 3 Championship Division.

Coach Drew went on to play collegiate football at the Division 1 level with an exceptional track record at Marist College, graduating with a degree in Criminal Justice. He is mentored by current NFL players seeking to improve the quality of football and making the game more safe. 

Coach Drew has a love and passion for sports. He believes there are numerous life lessons you can learn from sports and hopes to instill these values thru coaching.
